Jack White has been working with Beyonce they also collaborated on the hit album Lemonade. The two produced the track Don’t Hurt Yourself as well. * White said in an NPR interview that Beyonce once told him she wanted to be in a band with him.
It was that sentiment that brought the collaboration about, he also compared her voice to being like Betty Davis’ or Aretha Franklin’s. “She took this just kind of sketch of a lyrical outline and turned it into the most bodacious vicious incredible song. I don’t even know what you’d call it–soul, rock and roll or what else,” raved the White Stripes singer. He also felt that Bey “just phoned out the universe” on the “incredibly intense” song Don’t Hurt Yourself.
