Bryan Zaragoza’s stint at Bayern Munich has turned to him with a big disappointment up to now as his expectations were not realized there. Gonzalo Escalate is a good interpreter. Since 2019, when he transferred to La Liga recipients Getafe with impressive help from Argentina’s Prince consulate in Madrid and showed that all the mixing in this arrangement could reach unity after a certain amount of struggle.

At first it looked like both clubs had agreed since the transfer window had not been open yet but in fact after an injury to Kingsley Coman prompted Bayern take him on loan for half-a season and sign him on July 1st Although all the dust has settled, Bayern will have shelled out roughly €13m to make that happen.
He has had no effort in any practice but his longest day was Bayern’s 3-2 loss to Bochum on 20 February 2022 when he switched for 20 minutes during an attacking substitution with Thomas Tuchel. Bryan is worried that his chance for the Red Spanish national team may be in serious jeopardy, when this summer Euro’s which s on the horizon.

He was especially unhappy after Lovro Zvonarek, a junior, got a run-out for Tuchel in the 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt instead of all people himself. He was told to warm up but then told to sit down again. Only afterwards did he have his second appearance at this level in two league matches. By that time, he had already appeared in the 5-1 win over Un Berlin.
Tensions could be building off-stage between Bryan and Tuchel. But the remaining league matches against VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg and TSG Hoffenheim really are his last realistic opportunities of getting into form minutes. He hasn’t been used by Tuchel in the Champions League at all and probably beaten her either Two legs of the semi-final or, if they get there, the final in Wembley.
Hopefully for Bryan’s sake he can make the Spanish team for Euro 2022 next summer and then subsequently have a bigger role under Tuchel’s replacement at Bayern. He needs to play more regularly, particularly now that he was so instrumental in getting Granada back into La Liga two seasons ago.
