Lee Siegfried, also known as “Crazy Cabbie” to fans of “The Howard Stern Show,” has passed away at the age of 55, as reported by multiple sources. The cause of death has not been disclosed.

In a podcast appearance from 2021, Siegfried discussed some health challenges he faced, revealing his diagnosis with autoimmune disorders like Guillain-Barre syndrome and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy, which had confined him to a wheelchair.
Radio host and DJ Cane Peterson paid tribute to Siegfried on Facebook, announcing his passing on Easter Sunday. Peterson remembered Siegfried fondly, highlighting his sharp wit, zest for life, and kind heart. Siegfried, originally from Minnesota, gained prominence as a DJ for 92.3 K-Rock in New York and various other stations, including ones in the Twin Cities. His moniker “Crazy Cabbie” originated during his time on “The Andy Savage Show” in Minneapolis before he joined “The Howard Stern Show.”

As a frequent guest on Stern’s show, Siegfried engaged in various activities, including boxing matches and interactions with personalities like “Wack Pack” member Angry Black and former Stern Show member “Stuttering” John Melendez.
