Red Butte Garden Sets the Stage for 2024 Summer Concert Series

The Outdoor Summer Concert series at Red Butte Garden, 30 concerts all told, hosts 36 headliners across genres including rock, country, R&B, jazz and electronic dance.

According to officials from Red Butte Garden and staff at Red Butte Garden Box Office we spoke with Saturday, ticket prices for this 37th season of producing concerts range between $40 – $95 per ticket. Tickets perhaps will be sold in two different “waves.” Each wave covers a different bunch of concerts.

The first wave will comprise the shows from June 4 to Aug. 5. Tickets will go on sale online for Red Butte Garden members only at 7 p.m. on Apr. 29 and then in person for members at 9 a.m. the next morning; they will be available to everyone else from May 2 at 9 a.m.

Wave two will comprise the shows from Aug. 6 to Sept. 25. Tickets can be purchased online by Red Butte Garden members on May 13 at 7 p.m. and by members in person at 9 a.m. May 14; while the general public can buy those tickets on May 16 at 9 a.m.

Two shows were priced at $40 a ticket and went on sale in January: Lake Street Dive on July 23 (now sold out) and Gipsy Kings (tickets still available). In addition, Red Butte had previously announced three shows — KALEO on June 17th 19th Mat Kearney Ellis Paul with Stiurdur Johan Cedrik Ulvin Sonata Sinfoniezell Seesarett Orkester on July 7th tickets will go on sale with the first wave of shows.

Red Butte Garden is located at 300 Wakara Way, Salt Lake City, on the University of Utah campus.

June 4: Burning Spear is a Jamaican reggae musician; Xavier Rudd is an Australian singer-songwriter.

June 13: American jam band Umphrey’s McGee will be joined by the Nashville singer-songwriter Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country.

June 17: When KALEO, an Icelandic rock band, will play, Vincent Lima, a pop-folk musician, will open.

June 19: Mat Kearney, a folk-pop artist and Donavon Frankenreiter, laid-back grooves.

June 26: String Cheese Incident.

July 7: Blues-rock band Blues Traveler and Southern soul rock band JJ Grey & Mofro will co-headline.

July 10: Lyle Lovett along with His Large Band.

July 14: Portugal. The Man headlines the rock band Spoon Benders open.

No sign yet of a 15th which, on completion of the 7: Revivalists, New Orleans rock band and Hiss Golden Messenger, American folk band from North Carolina.

Afterward, Slash presents the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. Festival. Keb’ Mo’, Samantha Fish and Jackie Venson are featured in but this is quick novita as the blues tour was only announced by the American guitarist with Let there be light Gun N’Roses which is naught Mascagni’s solo guitar as I saw it before being shepherded, last Saturday after a six week absence.

Aug. 6: Charlie Crockett, an Americana and country singer-songwriter.

Aug. 11: Blues guitarist Gary Clark Jr.

Aug. 15: “Progressive bluegrass” group Yonder Mountain String Band, along with Railroad Earth, an Americana band and Finally, jam band Leftover Salmon complete this act.

Instead of being hauled to the Party Band, the money is used for new software.

Aug. 18 Diva Feii, one of the top online streamers in China.

Aug. 19: Acoustic and electronic music artist LOUISAHHH!!!

Aug. 20: South Korean hip-hop and R&B artist Rich Brian.
