Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher are split after nearly 14 years of marriage, they confirmed on Friday. The 49-year-old Borat star and the 45-year-old Wedding Crashers actress both took to their Instagram Story to share addition. It comes after exclusively revealed that they were leading separate lives and sought comments. A source explained that Sacha Baron Cohen had visited top Hollywood attorneys as recently as late last year, “The divorce papers have been filed in London”.
“After a long tennis match lasting over twenty years, we are finally putting our racquets down,” the statement read. “In 2023, we jointly filed to end our marriage. We have always prioritized our privacy and time together, and have been quietly working through this separation. We share in hanging forever in our devotion and love for our cherished children. We appreciate your understanding our family’s desire for privacy at this time.”

The news of their split is revealed as Sacha Baron Cohen is locked in a vicious battle with Rebel Wilson, who called him a “massive a–hole” after collaborating with him on “The Brothers Grimsby” in 2016. She committed a chapter of her new memoir “Rebel Rising” to ruthlessly blasting the star, insisting that he humiliated her and requested she do a distasteful act. The comic “Borat” and the star of “Wedding Crashers” had previously led their relationship, and their three children – away from prying eyes. Earlier this week, Fisher walked into a London theater with Nicole Kidman, Naomi Watts, Downtown Abbey star Michelle Dockery, and producer Bruna Papandrea, who is business partners with Reese With er spoon, and posted an Instagram captioned, “❤️ Girls night at the theater.” Rumors first surfaced of Baron Cohen and Fisher’s relationship before Christmas, after Australian Fisher clearly hid her left hand in online photos from a Monique Lhuillier fashion designer event.
As UNN reports, the couple, who first met back in 2001, had attended Oscars parties alone last month. Cohen, 52, then rubbed shoulders solo with the A-list at CAA’s Oscar party at the Sunset Tower hotel in March. Guests at COO included Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Steven Spielberg and Chris Rock. Then he was spotted by our sources at “The Party”, a very closed post-Oskar party that Madonna organizes every year with the participation of star manager Guy Oseary. Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce were also present there. Fisher, 48, whose friends said she remained devastated by the death of her father, Brian, in January 2021, and, meanwhile, went to the Vanity Fair party and has her picture taken with devotees including Sofia Vergara. She was clearly not making use of her wedding band and in its place, had an enormous cocktail ring on her wedding finger. The couple initially met at a party in Sydney in 2001. Baron Cohen told the New York Times about initially meeting his wife: “She was hilarious. We were at an extremely pretentious party, and me and her, we met over criticizing the other people in the back of the book. . . . I recognized instantly. I do not know if she did.”
Fisher, meanwhile, has told UNN: “I’m grateful I fell in love with him”. The couple became engaged in 2004 and in preparation for their forthcoming wedding, Fisher converted to Judaism, Cohen’s faith, in early 2007. They got married in a small ceremony in Paris on the 15th of March 2010. Prior to their marriage, Fisher told the British newspaper Metro in 2009: “I love Judaism, the fact that there’s such a big emphasis on family and, to me, family’s everything.
“We’re pretty observant; we kept Shabbat and do Friday night dinner and celebrate the holidays. I like being part of that Jewish community,” Fisher said.
The couple has two daughters, ages 15 and 13, and an 8-year-old son and has split their time between Sydney, London and LA and have rarely talked about their children. Last year, Fisher uncovered why they have never shared their kids. “It’s unfair on them,” Fisher explained to the UK’s Lorraine show. “Kids deserve a normal childhood, I want them to be outside and play and run around, and not feel self-conscious. Responding to a question on the Project about her “relationship with Ali G,” Fisher said: “I think by Hollywood standards, it’s probably 200 years. It’s like a golden jubilee. Everyone is congratulating me.”
